Important – Entry Requirements: The Kenyan Authorities have established that foreign citizens entering the country are required to take out a specific travel health insurance policy with a local insurance company.

The policy must comply with the following conditions:

• Mandatory requirement: Coverage will be required for all foreign citizens entering Kenya.
• Insurance company: The policy can be purchased separately from the eTA application (www.etakenya.go.ke), through the government portal "e-Citizen" (https://insurance.ecitizen.go.ke/dashboard) with a local company, and does not replace any insurance already purchased abroad.
• Minimum coverage: The total insurance coverage must be at least 50,000 US dollars (USD).
• Duration: The policy will be valid for 3 (three) months, starting from the date of entry into Kenya.
• Cost: 44 US dollars (USD), plus applicable taxes.
